Sean Rudolph Musical Theater Scholarship

Presented annually during Houston’s Theater Under the Stars’ “Tommy Tune Awards.”

The Rudolph Blume Foundation awards the Sean Rudolph Musical Theater Scholarship annually during Houston’s Theater Under the Stars’ “Tommy Tune Awards.” Each year, graduating high school seniors involved in Houston-area theater programs apply for scholarships through the “Tommy Tune Awards.” The Theater Under the Stars’ scholarship committee and the Rudolph Blume Foundation select the recipient of the scholarship. Additional information and application requirements are available at https://www.tuts.com/tta-scholarships.

Sean frequently attended theatrical performances in NYC, where his and Brad’s shared passion for live theatre evolved into a deeper commitment. They launched their own production company and became investors in Broadway shows including Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Color Purple, Of Mice and Men, Groundhog Day,and Dear Evan Hansen. As their interest grew, so, too, their involvement. Currently, they are co-producers on the musicals An American in Paris, Anastasia, and The Band’s Visit, with plans to support future productions.

In addition to his love of theater, Sean enjoyed writing. He wrote a one-act play and was accepted into Edward Albee’s playwriting class at the University of Houston.
